Keeping their Promis

Noosa Junction business Promis Network aims to use a $99,550 State Government grant in its bid to market its automated bill payment platform nationally and globally.
Established by Cameron Lawrence and Alexander Kohl, the platform allows invoices to be sent directly into client accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks and Reckon.
By connecting software systems together it reduces the steps in bill paying to a single click or can be fully automated.
Cameron said the idea for the platform sprang from his own dislike of the tedium of bill paying and from friends who after working all day in cafes and trades were forced to spend their evenings doing bookkeeping and bill paying.
“Promis can be completely managed from a mobile app or our website. For cafe owners this means that they can operate without being tied down to a computer,” he said.
Cameron said their plan was to focus on marketing the business to the Sunshine Coast hospitality industry, as well as developing interest in Sydney and overseas.
“We have already spoken with some of the most innovative food suppliers on the Sunshine Coast and they are keen to see this project succeed,” he said.
“The business owners can focus on creating more value for their clients and on creating a great business instead of being stuck in paperwork,” he said.
Promis Network received their grant from the Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas program.
