Thanks to the continued support of local businesses including Tourism Noosa, Stratogen Chartered Accountants and Financial Advisors, Madills Motor Group and IGA Cooroy, this year’s Noosa Golf Club Pro Am event at Noosa Golf Club on Tuesday, 13 December has attracted the best quality professionals seen for many years.
Boasting iconic professionals including Peter Senior, British Open winner Ian Baker-Finch, British Open runner-up and Australian Open Champion Mike Harwood and 1986 Australian Open Champion Rodger Davis along with other notable players including Terry Price, Anthony Gilligan, Ossie Moore and American Perry Parker who has qualified for three US Opens in the ’90s. The field includes 23 out of the top 25 players in the 2017 Order of Merit and is limited to 70 professionals.
“Open to professional and amateur players alike, it must be every golfer’s dream to play alongside these legends here in Noosa,” Noosa Golf Club’s General Manager, Allan Harris said.
Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham said that the organisation was delighted to be a sponsor of the Noosa Golf Club Pro Am.
“We’re confident that the tourism benefits of the event will translate into increased awareness of Noosa within the golfing community and beyond,” he said.
“To have such high profile and internationally respected professionals playing the course in Noosa is great for the destination’s overall profile, but to also have these legends teeing off alongside keen everyday golfers reinforces our message that Noosa is an incredibly welcoming destination.”
“Tourism Noosa has a role in marketing the Noosa region as one of the best for golf in Queensland and Australia and this event will further support this effort.”
The event is open to all players with a Golf Australia handicap. Currently only morning spots are available as the afternoon field is already full. The cost for the am field is $60 for a 7am shotgun start which includes a light lunch. To book, call the club on 5447 1407.
Entry is free to the public to come along to Noosa Golf Club on Tuesday 15 December. The morning field tees off at 7am, with the afternoon field teeing off at 12.30pm.
Witness what could be some of the best golf seen in these parts.
