Depth of dancing talent showcased

The Dance Centre Peregian Springs’ annual concert held at the Matthew Flinders Performance Centre this month was a spectacular in more ways than one.
Three ballets, The Tales of Beatrix Potter, Paquita, 1920’s Mediterranean Outing plus Around the world in 60 minutes delighted the audience and showcased the depth of talent, skill and technical excellence of the 140 students who performed.
Scarlett O’Reilley, 13, Alfie Shacklock, 13, Milana Gould 13, Talena Cleyne, 15, Siana Main,15, April Stephens,13, and Hannah Symons,13, demonstrated, through many roles, why they are all multi award-winning dancers with sponsorships to attend various national and international dance schools.
And it was clear that they will be succeeded in years to come by a large group of very talented and skilled younger dancers who performed with confidence and obvious joy.
Miss Deborah Preece-Brocksom and Mr Richard Leader thanked the many businesses that sponsored the concert.
“It was overwhelming, and we thank them all, because without such support from the community, a performing arts concert of this scale would not be possible.” Deborah said.
