Eight Days Of Pure Stoke

By Hollie Harris

It’s here again – eight days of pure stoke at the Laguna Realty Noosa Festival of Surfing kicks off this Saturday, March 10 with dozens of events featuring the best male and female longboarders from all around the world.
The salty dogs are back and ready to shred Noosa’s most pristine point break from 3pm on Saturday 10 March at the VetShopAustralia Surfing Dog Championships, part of the world famous Noosa Festival of Surfing.
Along with crowd favourites Rama, two time champion and back pack rider extraordinaire, Indie and Anna, the dynamically stylish Hawaiian lei wearing duo and Murph, the hippest and coolest pup in the pack, first time ruff rider Spike, native of Victoria and possibly part-penguin, is chomping at the bone to be part of the line-up.
Before this year’s big event the VetShopAustralia and Simparica teams, along with Chris De Aboitiz from SUPDOG Oz, and special guests, Dr Lewis Hunt and Dr Alex Hynes, the new ‘Bondi Vets,’ will also be running a FREE Pups on SUP’s workshop from 7:30am at Noosa Dog Beach. Open to the general public, the workshop provides the skills needed to better bond with your fur-friend, whether you intend to hit the water or not.
The festival will showcase world-class surfing all week long finishing on 17 March.
