Bumper list of school holiday activities

There are so many things for the kids to try these school holidays parents shouldn’t hear the words “I’m bored”.
1. Giggle yourself silly with the hilarious puppet show by Larrikin Puppets, then join the workshop afterwards and learn how to use Muppet-style puppets. It is free for children 5+, at Cooroy Library on Wednesday, April 11, and Noosa Leisure Centre, Friday April 13, 10-11.30am. Bookings required. libraries.noosa.qld.gov.au/school-holiday-activities
2. The Kids Playroom at the Noosa Leisure Centre is every pre-schoolers dream, with things to jump on, balance on, throw around and just have a bunch of fun. Open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am-2.30pm, Sunday 10am-1.30pm. $5 per child, parent/guardian supervision essential.
3. Try the parent and child mindfulness and movement workshop for kids 5-8 years. It’s run by Noosa Yoga Sprouts on Wednesday, April 11, 2-3.30pm, at the Noosa Leisure Centre. Bookings essential. Phone Emma on 0413 401 144.
4. The Noosa Cyclones have teamed up with Cameron Bairstow to bring a basketball camp to the Noosa Leisure Centre. It is for children aged 10-14 years and there are only 40 spots available so book now at bairstowbasketballcamp.wufoo.eu/forms/noosa
5. If you want a less structured approach to your sport these school holidays, the Noosa Leisure Centre also offers casual basketball shooting for $4 per person, subject to court availability. Phone 5329 6550 to enquire.
6. Augmented Reality is coming to Cooroy Library. Kids aged 10 years and above can combine their creative and technical skills in a magical experience of AR by creating their own t-shirt design and seeing it come to life. Bring a plain white t-shirt. Bookings required, libraries.noosa.qld.gov.au/school-holiday-activities.
7. The Noosa Aquatic Centre is always up for Easter fun, with Inflatables open from 12-2pm daily, weather permitting. The NAC has an onsite café and beach entry pools so everyone can have a fun time.
8. Learn to Swim Intensives will run over five consecutive days at the Noosa Aquatic Centre. They are excellent for accelerating children’s swim skills and water confidence. Great for children who have had a break from swimming, or those who are just getting started on their aquatic journey.
