IT’S been dubbed the “mini-Ekka” and now the St Thomas More Fete is back for another year with more rides, fun and entertainment than even before.
The fun starts on 16 August, from 9.30am, and with rides such as the Hurricane, Sizzler, giant chairs and slide, mini-Jeeps and animal farm, there’s something for the thrill seeker to the animal lover.
A wonderful variety of stalls offering arts and crafts, cakes and jams, even books and clothes will also be available on the day.
The chocolate wheel is back, along with face-painting, woodwork and the silent auction, which is already open to selling via Facebook (search for stmsilentauction).
There are over eight varieties of showbags to pick from this year and the food choices are massive with barbecue, hot Mumma’s Curry, Italian pasta, fairy floss, spiders, frozen cones, the Mango Shack, gelato and pulled pork on flatbread.
For even more entertainment, don’t miss Team Delta The Voice Kids performer Jamie Cumberlidge who will take to the stage at noon to perform three songs for the crowd.
This is St Thomas More Primary School’s biggest fund-raising day of the year and you will not be disappointed. There is something on offer for every age group.
