U6 Noosa Reds and Fins v Brothers and Caloundra

This week the Noosa Reds and Fins played Brothers and Caloundra at Sunshine Coast Grammar. We are seeing more ball handling and passing and had some exciting set ups between Lennie, Perry and Archie wich resulted in a few tries. Finn, Riley and Lincoln had a good game too with the rest of team. We love that everyone wants that ball, so a few pile ups going on which makes things entertaining. We just love their enthusiasm.

Player of the Match was awarded to Nate and Joey with Max receiving a certificate for playing inspirational rugby in the true spirit of the game.

U11 Noosa Fins 28 def Saints 5

A fired-up Fins flew at Saints from the opening whistle, our forwards barging onwards and controlling possession, then sending Will A over for our first try. Our defence was strong and paid off with more possession; a lumbering surge by Finnbar was supported by a bolt from Odette who sent Mackie over the line, under the post. James found his confidence and some open space for two runaway tries – each over 50 metres! Brilliant kicking from Harry converted every try. Although Saints fought back hard, it was our continuous tough tackling in defence that made the difference on the day. Well done Fins!

Players of the Match Shamus O’Rourke; Odette Richter.

U12 Noosa Reds 15 def Saints 12

The Noosa U12’s have been playing some great rugby so far this season. Saturdays match was never going to be easy but the team stayed strong despite a late come back by the Saints. Again the Reds came out firing in the first half running in 2 tries and keeping the Saints scoreless with 100% commitment in defence. Mack Frey’s superb pick & go try in the second half proved to be crucial in which was a much tighter arm wrestle right until the end. Player of the match awards went to Cody Harkins & Angus Low for their never say die attitude.

U14 Noosa 54 def University 7

This Noosa team improves with every game and with both forwards and backs turning possession into points they look strong all over the park. Uni took an early lead but that was to be their only score as Noosa replied with 8 tries and 7 conversions.

Tries: Patrick Breen (2) Max Ruster (2) James Gelling, Harry Heppell, Lochie Dudgeon, Jason Burns

Conversions: Jarrah Charlesworth (7)
