Sunshine Beach SHS students travelled to Brisbane on Tuesday 21 May to compete at a Regional Schools Table Tennis Competition accompanied by teacher – Mr Upston.
Year 7 boys George and Oscar played well and had some tight matches, which they were able to win and as a result won the Hopes Division.
The Year 9 girls finished 1st and 2nd place in the Junior Division. The girls played against boys in the Junior section as well, and Lilly and Sophie had one win against them.
All of the students had a wonderful time and are keen to compete at the State Championships later in the year.
Table Tennis is an Olympic Sport so there are opportunities for future success down the track for students who are keen to play and experience Table Tennis at both school and club level.
