NOOSA Today continues to receive message in support of a birthing centre to be built at the Noosa Hospital.
Noosa mother Lani Kenzler said she decided to have her baby at Caboulture Hospital due to a lack of birthing baths at Nambour Hospital.
“I decided to have Mahalia at Cabolture Hospital for the modern birthing suites. Nambour has only one birthing bath for the entire hospital. I also used the Share Care program which was very supportive,” Lani Kenzler with Mahalia (18 months) of Noosaville.
Helen Zelinski, also of Noosa, said the Nambour Hospital parking was a major headache.
“I think parking is a huge issue at Nambour, and it’s a long walk to the maternity ward when you’re pregnant. I think it would be great for Noosa to have local birthing facilities and it would ease already crowded Nambour Hospital,” Helen Zelinski with Tabitha Zelinski Rutland (19 months) of Noosa.
