You are the Key with Gary Hands is the main topic at Permaculture Noosa’s meeting on Thursday, February 20, at 7pm, at Cooroy Memorial Hall, Maple St. Gary, from Kookaburra Organics, has been an organic farmer in the region for over 12 years, understands the climate and regularly shares his knowledge at workshop events. He is a regular presenter at the Qld Garden Expo. Other presentations include Growing your own Mulch with Kerry Nagle, and Russian/Elephant Garlic with Mel Hobbins. Mel came to Australia in 2004 from the UK and has been on a 30 acre Traveston property for nine years. Permaculture Noosa meetings are free and open to the public. Beginning at 7pm with a marketplace (where members share their surplus home grown produce by giving, exchanging or selling it), guest speakers start at 7.30pm and supper (gold coin donation) will be served at 9pm. Noosa District Orchid & Foliage Society will hold a Growers Workshop on March 22. This will be open to everyone, with no obligation to join the club.
