GRAEME Base was onto a winner when he released Animalia in 1986, with more than 3 million copies sold world-wide.
Now, Base is back with his next children’s book, Last King of Angkor Wat, and fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with the author when he drops into Annie’s Books on Peregian on 25 September.
Annie Gaffney of ABC Coast FM will host an evening with the acclaimed children’s author as he launches his latest illustrated gem.
Annie’s Books on Peregian has hosted an array of local and international authors, but this visit will be special for owner Annie Grossman.
“Graeme (Base) is way up the top of my bucket list of authors to host, so I am absolutely thrilled that he is coming to my footpath this month,” she said.
The free event will be held on 25 September, from 6pm at Annie’s Books on Peregian, 8 Kingfisher Drive, Peregian Beach. Copies of Base’s new and previous books will be available for sale and signing.
