NOOSA Today hit the streets of Cooroy this week to find out about what makes one of Queensland’s friendliest towns so special.
Lyn Bunney has lived at Lake McDonald near Cooroy for the past 15 years and said the town has everything you need.
“Schools, health services, a great selection of shops and basically everything you could need,” she said.
Ms Bunney also gave visitors a few tips during their visit.
“The Noosa Botanic Gardens is an amazing visit and well worth it,” she said.
Rollin Monroe moved to west Cooroy 14 years ago from Wisconsin, USA.
“I love Cooroy’s rural atmosphere, country lifestyle and friendly locals,” he said.
“I’d say the Botanical Gardens is worth a visit – the cafes and friendly locals are also good.”
Elenanor Gilmor has lived in Cooroy for the past 15 years and said Cooroy is a “lovely town”.
“I love everything about Cooroy – it’s one of the best parts of the world – the cafes, restaurants and people make for a great community spirit,” she said.
Cooroy visitor Pam Goldie travelled up from the Gold Coast to visit Cooroy.
“The town has grown up a lot since my last visit,” she said.
“I love visiting the Butter Factory and just walking through the town itself is very nice.”
