Little Cove was a hive of activity on Saturday morning as 55 avid Instagrammers took to the beach with cameras in hand to beat the world Instameet record.
The Little Cove Instameet was part of a state-wide attempt to beat the world record for the largest Instameet with more than 80 Instameets in action across the Sunshine State on Saturday.
An Instameet is a gathering of Instagramers at a certain location where the group take and share photos using a common hashtag.
One of Australia’s most popular Instagrammers, Pauly Vella, was on hand at the Little Cove Instameet to hand out photography and Instagram tips to the group.
The event was hosted by Tourism Noosa and Sunshine Coast Destinations and Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham said it was a great chance to show off to the world just how beautiful Noosa is.
“With 139 posts hash-tagging visit noosa – this was a great opportunity to spread the word about Noosa, through one of the quickest growing social media platforms, Instagram,” he said.
“As a visual platform, Instagram is a great way to showcase how beautiful Noosa is, so if you are out and about in Noosa taking great photos, I encourage you to use the tag #visitnoosa and share your images.”
