Sadly, long lazy lunches during the work day went out of fashion right about the time mullets, shoulder pads and pant suits did.
But Noosa Today thinks the long, lazy lunch is due for a comeback and asked its Facebook followers where they would like to spend a lazy two-hour lunch break in Noosa.
It seems a stunning location and top-notch grub are the prerequisites for a successful, long, lazy, luxurious lunch in Noosa.
The top contenders were:
Ricky’s River Bar and Restaurant, Noosa Heads: Ricky’s was a popular lunch spot for likers who dreamt of enjoying lunch while overlooking the river.
Bistro C, Noosa Heads: It seems dining on high-quality meals while enjoying stunning water views is a must for a long, lazy lunch. Bistro C proved popular thanks to the top-notch food and beachfront location.
Sails, Noosa Heads: We’d say the fine dining, great location and seasonal menu make this high-end restaurant a perfect candidate for a long lunch.
Cafe Le Monde, Noosa Heads: One for the young, funky bunch. Cafe Le Monde offers traditional food with a modern twist and uber-cool decor.
Picnic, Gympie Terrace: It doesn’t all have to be luxury and caviar. Some likers thought a home-made picnic along the Noosa River at Gympie Terrace was a great way to spend a long lunch break in Noosa.
