A LOCAL Noosa group is raising money and awareness for a disease that touches the lives of many – Alzheimer’s.
Libby Day has made it her mission to make life easier for those living with Alzheimer’s with a special concert by the New World Rhythm Choir at The J on Friday 31 October.
Ms Day strives to make things easier for patients and their families through her organisation Molly’s Song, named after her mother who suffers from the illness.
During August, the organisation held its annual fund-raiser which saw local and international acts perform on the Noosa River.
Ms Day said more than $4500 was raised for Alzheimer’s Australia.
“It’s great to see people enjoying themselves and raising money for a cause so close to my heart,” she said.
“We would really love for people to come along and support our cause and enjoy the amazing sounds of the New World Rhythm Choir.”
