Local survivor to help others

Battling breast cancer can be a scary time in a woman’s life, but local volunteers are working hard to ensure everyone has access to information and support throughout their journey.

Local musician, Tracey Combes, was amongst a select group of breast cancer survivors who attended intense training in Melbourne last week to become a community liaison with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). The BCNA training program provided a forum for women to share their stories, strengthen their networks and work towards better outcomes for women living with breast cancer. The program is designed to strengthen the ability of the women to use their own experiences to make a difference in the lives of women battling cancer. Tracey said she is looking forward to promoting and informing local woman about the free resources available to them from the BCNA, which help women through their breast cancer journey.
