On Wednesday 12 October, Endeavour had a book launch of ‘Take My Hand – a personal journey of discovery’, written by Joanne Smith whose son Sam attends the Endeavour Foundation’s Wallace Park Learning and Lifestyle.
Over 60 people from Gympie, Nambour and Kawana Learning and Lifestyle attended, as well as community members. Melissa Webb said she liked reading the book, watching the photo presentation and being one of the hostesses serving food for the morning tea.
Everyone sang along to the entertainment provided by Joanne’s son, Mac.
Joanne’s journey is one of hardship, perseverance and adventure where she has discovered “who she really is”. The book is an honest, emotional and moving account of her journey. Inquiries about the book to smithsnoosa@gmail.com.
