A SPECIAL fund-raiser to help Petra and Jack Geitl save for an accessibility vehicle will set sail tonight and there are still plenty of tickets available.
Noosa residents are being asked to dig deep and attend the fund-raiser hosted by Noosa River and Canal Cruises, who developed the idea.
The sunset cruise includes entertainment, food and drinks all courtesy of big-hearted local business owners.
There are about 20 tickets still available and there’s a desperate plea for more residents to sign up as there have been only 18 sold so far.
Jack was born with cerebral palsy and although he is active and enjoys a happy life, transporting him has always been a challenge for his mother Petra.
“It can be difficult to find the right transport including the use of local buses, which is fine, but it just makes life more difficult.”
Petra first made an appeal with the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club, who has been extremely helpful and supportive.
New businesses on board include Massage Noosa (one hour massage voucher), Markris Food, Noosa Country Meats and Gibsons gifts and homeware.
