Rylee, Amaya to the rescue

By RICHARD MURRIHY

LET’S start with thanks to Rylee and Amaya who picked up for us so we could at least play a game after we lost a few players. Rylee completed a double play as did Chase Saunders. Riley showed some dash with a brilliant run on a walk where he caused an overthrow and got home on the one play.
Jasmine and Jack Murray had good days following up the 15s good form they both took catches in the 13s and Jack topped it with a home run. Wildcats and Redsox had a draw in a game where there were many good plays as both teams toughed it out, Clint’s pitching does need some work. The 17s had the dodgers field well and continually got k2s and out at first while the Redsox had Isabelle and Jedd both taking fly catches. Not much news on the seniors front, but I saw Stan get a home run, Simon take a gazillion catches and a home run ( I think he was playing both diamonds). Leigh Ryan took a blinder that could be catch of the year. Gaz took a catch with players under him waiting for the spill (good backing up) and Patrick was like the energizer bunny as catcher running up and down the first base line.
