WELL what a busy few weeks for the Noosa Nippers. Congratulations to all who represented the club so proudly at Maroochydore last Sunday at the 11s – 13s Teams Carnival. A very special mention must go to the March Past team which after only one formal training session under the watchful eye of march past coach Ross Fisher finished a creditable seventh. This is the first team in a number of years and the entire team had a great time.
Last Saturday night was the monthly open air movies held by Noosa Nippers at Peregian Beach. These free nights are a fun family way to enjoy a night out. This Friday saw our Noosa Nippers help Santa, his helpers and elves with the turning on of the Christmas lights at hastings Street. Today as our Nippers ran at Main beach and at Peregian, a small but strong team headed down to North Burleigh for some more match racing experience at the annual Young Guns Carnival. The team had some very creditable results with Kane Hart winning gold in the Under 14’s Ironman. Next Saturday will see Noosa host the Sunshine Coast Youth Challange for the 14’s and 15’s as well as the Brisbane Lions will be doing some pre-season training. Then on Sunday will be the first round of Club Championships. The following Friday 12 December will be the Annual Wall to Wall swim which is a fund-raiser for Ronald McDonald House and will be the break-up for Christmas. I have it on very good authority that Santa will be taking time out from his very busy schedule to make a special appearance.
