Find joy and harmony at Pomona Gallery this month

Janette Hoysted brings an eclectic mix of work to her exhibition The Joy of Art at the Pomona Railway Station Gallery this month.

An artist/designer for many years, her interest here lies in the proven therapeutic benefits of art and creativity.

From her hand-drawn art engraved onto handmade timber cutting boards, to her watercolours, acrylics and pen and ink drawings/doodles, Janette hopes to inspire others to feel the benefits themselves and get creative in whatever medium makes them happy.

The Joy of Art exhibition runs until 21 September.

Meanwhile in the Carriage Room, Clare Riddington Jones is showing her work in Look Outside.

This exhibition is a celebration of nature, its scenery, birds and animals.

Clare’s colourful, textured and harmonious paintings capture nature at its best. Her images range from realism to abstraction and are all inspired by her own photographs.

Look Outside opens Saturday 3 September at 10.30am and closes 28 September.

Pomona Railway Station Gallery is at 10 Station Street Pomona, open 10am-4pm Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 2pm Saturday and Sunday.
