The event will feature a visit from Santa at 6.30pm, who is expected to hitch a ride with the RACQ CareFlight helicopter.
The night will close with a fireworks display at 8.30pm.
Lunch with the lot
AUSSIE World will open its gates to more than 450 coastal locals who are doing it tough today (Thursday 18 December), for a special day of excusive rides, Santa visit, special guests and a hot Christmas lunch.
For many families going along to Aussie World allows them to celebrate Christmas and treat their children to an out-of-the-ordinary day, which most would not be able to afford for their families.
“This year Aussie World has a Christmas wonderland for our families to enjoy, as well as special guests Alfie Langer and Kerrod Walters,” Caloundra Salvation Army Captain Stuart Glover said.
“It’s a special time of year for us all and it is great to make it special for those who may not be able to afford it, Captain Glover said.
