Pair will be missed

A NOOSA mother whose son was riding in the Noosa Pengari Stiener School bus when it was involved in a crash in New Zealand has paid tribute to the loss of Andre and Gabriel.
Susan Ewington’s 16-year-old son Harrison was in the bus at the time of the accident, but was fortunate to walk away.
“While we feel obvious relief to have our son Harrison home with us our hearts are deeply affected by the loss of Andre and Gabriel, Harrison’s teacher and his friend,” she told Noosa Today.
“We extend our love and care to the families and loved ones of each of these special people who will be incredibly missed and always remembered.
“Our family would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Noosa Pengari Steiner School for their incredible support and assistance during this time, and also to the broader school community and the Noosa community – the support we’ve received has been overwhelming and has been a great comfort to us.”
“We also thank the Australian and New Zealand governments for their care in looking after the students and getting them home to us as soon as possible.”
