Chained to the Jetty

Noosa pensioner Kevin Driscoll made national news in June when he chained himself to a jetty in a protest again Noosa Council.
Mr Driscoll bought the jetty in 1993 but said a poorly maintained council footpath had caused the jetty to collapse in rising flood waters.
Mr Driscoll said the Noosa Council was hatching an elaborate plan to “rip off his family” and reclaim the jetty without compensation.
In protest, Mr Driscoll chained himself to a temporary structure on the jetty footings.
The matter remains ongoing with neither the State Department of Environment and Heritage Protection or Noosa Council coming to an agreement with Mr Driscoll.
