Club invites all to lob in for a hit

By ANNETTE ADSETT

COOLUM Beach tennis is looking forward to a great start to the season with an open day scheduled for election day, Saturday 31 January, from 9am to 2 pm.
Information about all levels of tennis will be available with the courts open for free use by anyone attending. Free clinics will also be run for both juniors and adults.
On Sunday 1 February, at 10am, the club is holding its annual general meeting. Club officials are looking for a good attendance from members to elect the new committee.
Forms are available to nominate committee members attached to the white board inside the clubhouse.
Please thank the outgoing committee for their hard work and welcome the new committee and show your support.
As part of the promotion of tennis by Tennis Australia, participating clubs have been allocated, according to their efforts in promoting tennis, a player.
Coolum Beach has been allocated Milos Raonic. We are ranked 17 in the country for the promotion. If Milos wins, we get a package including a sign for the town.
Social tennis, junior clinics, and Fit tennis have been continuing through the holidays. Thanks to the many members who have been prompt with paying their membership fees for 2015.
