THE creative genius of American film directors, screenwriters and producers the Wachowskis is once again painting the big screen, their latest work ‘Jupiter Ascending’ currently showing at BCC Noosa Cinemas.
Described by Lana Wachowski as a sci-fi space opera, the PG-rated film hosts a star-studded cast of Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne and Sean Bean. From the streets of Chicago to the far-flung galaxies whirling through space, Jupiter Ascending tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things.
Now grown, Jupiter dreams of stars, but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks.
This is when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, comes in to her life, having ventured to Earth to track down Jupiter for her help to stop the tyrannic reign corrupting his planet.
The film goes for just over two hours and is one not to be missed by sci-fi fans and dreamers alike.
