Man caught doing indecent acts in Currimundi

Police have charged a 35-year-old man following alleged indecent acts in the Currimundi area on the Sunshine Coast.

It will be alleged the man tried to gain entry to a property near the beach on the evening of 13 June before walking around the dwelling while committing indecent acts.

The occupants of the property observed the man and notified police. Upon police arrival, the man had left the area.

It will be alleged the man returned to the same property the following day and was reported to police again.

Following investigations by Caloundra police, a 35-year-old man of no fixed location was located in bushland in the Currimundi area.

He has been charged with three counts of indecent acts, and one count each of enter and commit indictable offence and attempted enter and commit.

He has been denied police bail and was set to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 17 June.

Police are investigating reports of similar incidents between the Currimundi and Dicky Beach areas, specifically along the beach.

Anyone with information about suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact police.
