THE Noosa Pirates and Gympie played Wondai Wolves in a well executed 36-4 win over the weekend.
The squad is gelling more and more each hitout, with a huge welcome back to the field for Shaun Wilson, Jake Harney and Danny McMah. They definitely added some venom to the joint venture which also showed a cameo from coach Zippy.
Coach Zippy will have some headaches in picking the first Outlaws’ squad coming into the first competition game where they play the very physical Caboolture Snakes up in Gympie on Saturday 18 April – get on board to start the season with bang.
April 12 is the annual golf day and another day to book in – spots are going fast.
Prizes, food and drinks are all included. This will be a good day out for golfers, hackers and even the cart drivers.
Reggies’ coach Scotty has been signing on new and old players – they have been training at Pirate Park Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm. Only three weeks until kick off fellas.
Congratulations to ex-Pirate Moey Mbye in kicking the Bulldogs to victory in golden point against the mighty Tigers. Another ex-Pirate, Captain of the Roosters Jake Friend will be returning to the field very soon, so all the best fellas.
