THE Battle of the Bands held on Wednesday 6 May was a huge success.
Now in its second year, there were about 140 people in attendance at popular local venue The J.
Six bands competed for two main prizes of Best Band and Most Liked.
Other organisations, schools and community members attended and were competing including the local TAFE band Sunshine Butterflies Nambour L&L and Wallace Park L&L.
The Outsiders from Nambour TAFE won the main prize of $250 voucher from Music at Noosa and The Rockabilities from Sunshine Butterflies won Most Liked and a $150 voucher from Music at Noosa.
There was also other entertainment during the event.
One particular item was Sally doing a scat singing interlude. She blew the crowd away.
The involvement in the Battle of the Bands has increased her confidence and self esteem.
There were very positive comments from everyone in attendance.
All the audience/bands agreed that they would be back next year.
