Chronic pain sufferers in the Noosa region are fortunate that Noosa is home to Scrambler Therapeutics and the only Scrambler Therapy treatment currently available in Queensland.
Scrambler Therapy is a non-invasive neuromodulation treatment developed in Italy more than 25 years ago. It works by delivering gentle electrical signals through small surface electrodes placed on the skin near the painful area. These signals aim to replace the brain’s expectation of pain with non-pain messages, supporting people with persistent neuropathic and mixed pain symptoms. The treatment is considered low risk and has minimal side effects.
The treatment typically involves 10 sessions over a two week period. While some patients travel from interstate and overseas to access this treatment, Noosa residents have the advantage of accessing the Scrambler Therapy without additional transport or accommodation costs.
Scrambler Therapeutics clinician and owner Deborah Gray, Nurse Practitioner began her experience with the therapy six years ago while working alongside a local pain specialist. Deborah’s commitment to Scrambler Therapy inspired her to open Scrambler Therapeutics so this beneficial therapy could remain available locally.
In September, Deborah travelled to Rome to undertake advanced training with the therapy’s inventor, Professor Giuseppe Marineo, joining specialist clinicians from around the world. This additional training ensures that people in Noosa have access to the highest level of Scrambler Therapy expertise.
With Scrambler Therapeutics, Deborah offers compassionate and evidence-based care for pain conditions that are often difficult to manage.
Locals interested in whether Scrambler Therapy may be suitable for their condition are welcome to contact the clinic directly.
