Emerging talent sings at Christmas extravaganza

Grace Burroughs, a 16-year-old GSLC student, has garnered numerous praises on her journey toward her big dream to become a professional musical theatre actress and regularly perform on the West End in London.

Since the age of six, Grace has had a passion for singing, ballet, playing the piano, and acting.

Over the years, she has successfully achieved distinctions in all her Trinity College of London Classical Vocal and Musical Theatre, as well as AMEB singing exams.

The world of musical theatre is where Grace feels incredibly happy and passionate; the stage is her home at heart, allowing her to fully express herself and be true to herself. She has participated in numerous local shows and annually sings solos at Hinterland Christmas Carols.

The list of Grace’s performances in major roles is quite impressive.

She has portrayed the Owl in Winnie The Pooh musical at Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre, the Narrator in Wizard of Oz at Little Seed, Sandy in Grease at Coastal Academy of Song and Dance, Fagan’s Gang in Oliver at Noosa Arts Theatre, Nala in The Lion King musical at Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Maisy in Seussical The Musical at Little Seed Company, Alice in Alice in Wonderland at Noosa Arts Theatre, Fairy Violet in Sleeping Beauty pantomime at Noosa Arts Theatre, a leading ensemble in Mamma Mia at Noosa Arts Theatre, Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast at Little Seed Company, Iris in Fame at Little Seed Company, a Fairy in The Emperor’s New Clothes at Noosa Arts Theatre, Mrs. Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at GSLC, and Isabel in Pirates of Penzance at Noosa Arts Theatre.

At the age of 11, she chose to sing at the Regional Busking Championship in Noosa instead of having a birthday party. Grace generously donated her 1st Place prize money (Primary Category singing) to AWLC to help kids get an education.

Recently, Grace secured the role of Edith in the upcoming professional production of Pirates of Penzance in 2024 and will be performing O’Holly Night at The Eumundi Extravaganza this coming Sunday 3 December, at 4.40pm.

So come along for an amazing afternoon of fun, free rides and entertainment and to support Grace on her road to success.

Everything kicks off from 1pm at Eumundi Markets Car Park on Napier Road, Eumundi. Visit eumundichristmas.com
