Are you a busking champion?

There is a growing movement in many regional towns around Australia that is actively promoting busking for all the amazing benefits that street performance can bring to rural communities. The not-for-profit association that is on the leading edge of this movement is called the Australian National Busking Championship (ANBC).

What could be a better location to participate in the Australian National Busking Championship than Noosa?

Building on the enormous success of the last two year’s partnership with the Noosa Come Together Music Festival (June 8 & 9), the busking championship promises to be a bigger and better all inclusive event with a prize pool of over $6,000. The ANBC is a celebration of all styles of music due to the diversity of age and artistry of the buskers who perform at the event, with over 50 artists this year. Pre-registered Buskers are assigned special Busking Hot Spots at various times along Gympie Terrace creating a festival atmosphere along our beautiful river foreshore. It has now become a fixture in the Australian busking calendar and is now attracting interstate buskers.

For more information visit the Noosa Busking Championship or Noosa Come Together Festival Facebook page. The event has been made possible by sponsors, Hutchinson Builders, Arrow Wood Products, Gympie Terrace P/L, Bendigo Bank, Bank of Queensland and Noosa Today and all profits will be distributed to local charities.
