$10,000 prize to fuel passions

The brewers at Eumundi Brewery are encouraging local artists and innovators to nominate now in the Fuel Your Passion competition, with some serious prizemoney up for grabs.

Head brewer Chris Sheehan said there was a $10,000 prize for the winner, and two runner-up prizes of $5000.

“Our brewery hometown of Eumundi is unquestionably a creative hub, home to many fabulous artists, makers and musicians,“ Chris said.

“On top of that, two days a week the village swells to welcome creatives from across the Sunshine Coast who share their artisan treasures, foodie delights and musical grooves at the world-famous Eumundi Markets.

“Surrounded by so many talented creatives, we wanted to find a way to support and fuel the passion of the many artists and innovators here on the Coast. And we’re very aware that the last couple of years have been particularly challenging for the arts and creative sector.

“So we are now calling on local artists, innovators, changemakers, anyone whose creative passion brings the feel-good factor to our community.

“We want them to share their story with us and be in the running to win a $10,000 cash prize or one of two $5,000 runner-up prizes from the Eumundi Community Fund.“

It could be that you nominate yourself or someone else. To enter, you need to be over 18, live on the Sunshine Coast area and positively impact the local community with your creative work.

“Applicants might be songwriters, surfboard shapers, foodies, fashionistas, sculptors, furniture makers, authors … even brewers,” Chris said.

“If you’re a creative soul and your craft gives back to the community in some way, you should think about throwing your hat in the ring.”

To enter a nominee in the Eumundi Brewery Fuel Your Passion competition, visit eumundibrewery.com.au and upload your details by Saturday 21 May 2022.

“The amazing creatives who live in the Sunshine Coast are a big part of what makes this place so unique, and the Eumundi Brewery Team are proud to be able to support them – and help fuel their passion,“ Chris said.
