Police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old man in Maroochydore on Monday 7 April.
At about 1.30pm, police received reports of an argument at a Deejay Street property between a 49-year-old man and an 82-year-old man, who are known to each other.
A 47-year-old neighbour heard the disturbance and went to the Deejay Street property to render assistance.
As a result of the altercation, a 49-year-old Maroochydore man, died at the scene.
A crime scene has been declared and a 47-year-old man is assisting police with inquires.
There is no threat to public safety and it’s believed no weapons were involved.
Investigations into the circumstances remain ongoing.
