Interest high for hospice art

Bidding is hotting up for the Katie Rose Cottage Hospice silent art auction.

Organiser and manager of the op shop at Tewantin, Tina Grigson, says public interest in the exhibits has been “very satisfying.”

More than 20 local artists from the Tinbeerwah Art Group and Noosa Arts and Crafts have pooled their talents to support the hospice with a silent art auction which opened last week for two weeks.

As well as being shown on the Katie Rose website, their 33 paintings, embroidery and a mosaic — all donated – are also on display at the hospice op shop.

The exhibits feature the forget-me-not flower which is the hospice logo.

Bidding closes this Saturday and Tina said, “I’m delighted these local works of art by professional and non-professional artists have caused such interest“.
