Jordan, Sam and Sari light up Peregian Gala

Peregian’s own annual Gala, Under the Stars, secures two of the finest local icons, Nutri-grain IronWoman Series champion, Jordan Mercer and local radio legend, Sam Coward who are set to take the stage on Saturday 10 September at Peregian Park.

The event is back for its third year of fundraising and uniting local talent to support the rebuilding of Peregian Surf Life Saving Club.

Event founder and local residents’ association president, Leigh McCready, was eager to announce this year’s guest speakers and entertainment line-up.

“Spirit of Peregian is always an exciting and fun-filled night, and this year we have incredible entertainment, with local singer and songwriter Sari Abbott, who has just won the Noosa Busking Championship, opening the evening, followed by one of our guest speakers, professional athlete, and IronWoman, Jordan Mercer,“ Leigh said.

“Jordan knows firsthand how important surf clubs are for the community, not just for beach safety but for training, education, and recreation and we are excited to hear her share about her connection with the surf club and the impact it has had on her success.

“Along with live music and guest speakers, we have incredible prizes up for grabs at our live auction.

“This year we have celebrity chef Adriano Zumbo collaborating with Peregian Pantry for the second year offering a dessert-making workshop prize, which was hugely popular in 2021.”

Hot 91 breakfast host Sam Coward, who in 2018 worked with co-host Ash Gierke to help re-launch the Peregian Nippers program, is thrilled to be the MC for the evening.

The unique event is anticipated to be a sell-out, with early bird tickets officially sold out and the remaining selling fast.

Tickets are available from $300 with a discounted rate available for Peregian Family and Friends members.

The evening is inclusive of canapes, a three-course meal, and a premium drinks package including Sunshine & Sons Gin Bar, Diablo Cocktail Bar and fine wines.

Tickets can be purchased at events.humanitix.com/spirit-of-peregian-2022
