Become a zero-waste society

Queensland has a new Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy, underpinned by a waste disposal levy, helping provide the strategic framework for Queensland to become a zero-waste society, where waste is avoided, reused and recycled. To help understand what this means, learn where our waste goes and help understand how communities can get involved to be part of the solution, join Daniel Phipps, Senior Environmental Officer, from the Department of Environment and Science who will be the guest speaker at Noosa Parks Association Friday Environment Forum on September 20.

Be part of the audience on Friday morning at the NPA Environment Centre, 5 Wallace Drive Noosaville from 10.30am to 12.15pm. Arrive at 10am for coffee and chat. All are welcome and a donation is appreciated. Meet Valda in the car park at 8.30 am to enjoy finding and learning more about the birds of Wallace Park before the forum.
