Wattle Court plants roots on the Sunshine Coast

Recognised home builders with over 40 years’ hands-on experience and renowned industry consultants have opened a new office in Maroochydore under the Wattle Court banner.

Mark and Deb Stoffels’ new Wattle Court Sunshine Coast venture aims to bring their knowledge in delivering high-quality, bespoke homes to the Sunshine Coast community, enhancing the region’s housing offerings.

“When you’ve been building houses for as long as we have, you learn a thing or two about what works and what doesn’t,” Mark said.

“From our experience, minimum industry standards don’t always translate to ideal liveability and we make a point to ensure that every aspect of our homes exceeds these standards.”

Mark and Debbie have successfully built homes in the Orange and Tweed Heads regions in New South Wales for over four decades and recently moved to Maroochydore, drawn in by the area’s unbeatable coastal lifestyle.

“For as long as I can remember, I wanted to become a builder like my father. I spent every school holiday and any other opportunity I had working alongside him and I’ve now been building houses for 40 years, and I’m still as passionate about it now as I was when I first followed in my father’s footsteps,” Mark said.

“Building homes has always been more than just a profession for us, it’s a way of life. It’s so entwined with our lifestyle that you’ll find us scoping out new builds in regions where we’re not even on the tools ourselves.”

Throughout their many years in the building industry, Mark and Deb have supported numerous charities including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Opportunity International Australia, local football teams, and have travelled to Kenya to help build an orphanage.

As passionate advocates for the environment, the duo are also committed to integrating green building practices into their high-quality, bespoke homes.

“By establishing Wattle Court Sunshine Coast we can continue to create living environments that significantly reduce energy costs for our homeowners in the long term,” Mark said.

Wattle Court Sunshine Coast celebrated their grand opening with the Sunshine Coast community on Thursday, February 6th at their new office and display studio on Sugar Road, Maroochydore.

To follow Mark and Deb’s journey you can follow their Facebook and Instagram page or visit the office at 104 Sugar Road, Maroochydore 4558.
