Noosa Village has gone green

Noosa Village has taken a sustainable initiative by installing a 250kW rooftop solar power system.

This equates to 336 tonnes of CO2 removed from the atmosphere, or the equivalent of 122 cars being taken of the road each year. That’s enough to power almost 70 homes.

Energy Aware’s project manager Mack Thomas said he is proud of his company’s contribution to this fast growing industry.“Our company was founded in 2009,” Mack said, “and is comprised of an innovative group of professionals who are very excited by the economic and environmental opportunities associated with the transition to clean technology.”

Mack said that the solar panels are extremely durable and have been installed by CEC accredited electricians.

Along with going green, Noosa Village will be receiving a major upgrade at an investment of $560,000 from July to September this year.

The upgrade will include three stages, starting with upgrades to the carpark and surrounding gardens to enhance traffic flow. The final stages will involve a general amenities upgrade as well as fresh paint to the facade and new signage.
