Tigers primed for grand final replay

The Roccocos Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers are ready and more than eager to test themselves against back to back premier winners and arch rival Maroochydore this Saturday afternoon at Fisherman’s Road. Noosa sit undefeated on top of the division 1 Hart’s sports competition ladder after 4 rounds with the Maroochydore Roos second after losing their only game of the season against Springwood in the last round. Tiger senior assistant coach Craig ‘swinger’ Horwood said it’d be a really good test for their young blokes over the next two weeks against an experienced and successful Maroochydore outfit this week. Our boys obviously want to test themselves against the best and it gives us an indication of where we are at. At the same time I’m sure neither side will be at full strength however these games always attract a great crowd and bring a terrific atmosphere. We can’t wait for Saturday.”

The Tigers made five changes due to unavailability and injury against University last game but should welcome back young gun Mac pettigrove and experienced defenders Cameron,Mckendrick and Opie who are all expected to be available. The Noosa outfit will again look for an across the board team effort which has been senior coach Adam Bovalinos number one message throughout the pre-season and up to this stage of the year. But I’m sure the performances of blokes like Stack, Laskey, Hill, Fitzpatrick, Buntain and Woods will go along way to determine a positive outcome for the top of the ladder tigers. Sutton has kicked his fair share of goals up forward thus far in 2019 whilst Connor Mcdonald is having a superb year at centre half forward. Look out for Will Odwyer as a skillfull fit and attacking wingman and also the work rate of young ruckman Maccy Johnston who is making a real impact a senior level.

Remember to book your tickets for Dane Swans luncheon on Saturday 11 May and see you at the footy on Thursday. Go Tigers.
