Clubrooms will set a new standard

Fantastic news for Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club this week with Noosa Council approving a much-anticipated Development Application.
Councillors and council planning staff not only approved the application but went to lengths to applaud the design as fitting with the build environment and the ethos of the Sunshine Beach community village feel.
Sunshine Beach architect Andrew Bock in conjunction with Brisbane-based Push Architecture have listened to the club’s design brief brilliantly to conceptualise what will become an iconic part of the Sunshine Beach landscape while providing state-of-the-art club facilities of restaurant and bar with a modern yet funky approach that is the latest trend around the country.
A modern club is promised like no ordinary club that exists today.
The amazing beach views are maintained, the dining and bar areas take on many niche area personas while a training/lifesaving room for members will be built that can transform into a stunning function facility with sweeping views of Sunshine Beach never encountered before.
It will set a new benchmark in wedding reception and other conventions and functions in Noosa if not the Sunshine Coast.
A period of detailed drawing and builder recruitment is underway along with a concerted fund-raising program.
The club will be in the community seeking benefactors, sponsors, looking for partnerships and donations for the build project.
Obviously, volunteer members will be reminding the community and visitors alike of the vital role they play in keeping swimmers and beach goers safe on Sunshine Beach.
