Dreaming of a French Christmas

ADD a French twist to your Christmas this year at The Chorale Christmas Cheer Concert being held at The J Noosa.
The chorale is back again for its ninth year with a French inspired Christmas concert, Wassail, where a magical performance of Messe de Minuit de Noel by Frenchman Marc-Antoine Charpentier is set to awe the audience.
Event organiser Soprano Talluah Harper says guests won’t be disappointed and can expect to be whisked away to a magical wonderland.
“This year we are turning The J into a French Christmas wonderland with the gentle glow of candles, the smell of pine and the classic soft colours of France setting the mood,” he said.
The first Wassail was held in 2007 when the Bicentennial Hall at Sunshine Beach was transformed into a winter fairyland with a four-metre tall Christmas tree and has grown bigger and more unique each year.
The Wassail is set to be a unique experience with the choir not only entertaining but involving the audience through a wide range of carols and festive songs.
So whip out your beret and join The Chorale to celebrate Christmas in French style.
The Wassail is being held at The J Noosa, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads, Friday 18 December and Saturday 19 December 7pm. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at www.thej.com.au.
