Free fun is a family favourite

The annual Christmas in Cooroy family friendly event is back for its 11th year and is set to be bigger and better than before.
Hosted by the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Cooroy, the free community event is packed full of fun for the whole family.
Festivities kick off on Friday 4 December with the official Butter Factory Arts Centre exhibition opening at 6pm followed by the lighting of the Ri-Con Christmas Tree and the launch of the window shop trail outside the Cooroy RSL at 7pm.
The first night of festivities ends on the library rooftop with the screening of a family favourite movie at 8pm.
On Saturday the fun starts at 4pm when Cooroy’s Apex Park is turned into a family fun day out with rides, face painting and entertainment.
The annual Noosa Hinterland and Plumbing Group Great Santa Race is also back again, plus the Bendigo Bank street parade at 5pm, followed by the Cooroy RSL fireworks at 7.15pm to end a great day.
Don’t forget Santa’s special letterbox will be out the front of the Cooroy RSL on Friday 4 December from 6pm, and then next to Santa’s tent at Apex Park on Saturday 5 December from 4pm.
Children are invited to pop their letter into the letterbox so Santa doesn’t forget what they want for Christmas.
Include a return address so Santa can reply.
