Like a duck to water

Family rivalry has never been so much fun as it is with the Noosa Heads Surf Club Great Duck Race.
The ducks are waiting for someone to purchase them so they can race each other to the shoreline out the front of the Noosa Heads Surf Club on Friday 11 December.
Up to 500 ducks will be dropped into the ocean off Noosa Main Beach and the owner of the first duck to wash up on the shore will win $1000.
Tickets are $40 and include a racing duck plus dinner, beer, wine and soft drink on the beach to celebrate the ducks’ efforts.
Anyone can buy a racing duck and tickets are available from the Noosa Heads Surf Club, Noosa Aquatic Centre, Noosa Junction Bakers Delight and the Tewantin Deli and Cafe Takeaway.
The event is part of the Noosa Heads Surf Club nippers’ end-of-year event with proceeds of the duck sales going to the nippers.
The duck race will be held on Friday 11 December from 5pm at the Noosa Heads Surf Club.
