Crawdaddy’s saw a full house last Friday night for the East Coast Originals first fund-raiser of the year.
While the final count of funds raised is still to come, organisers are confident that about $2000 has been collected.
East Coast Originals’ (ECO) Marcus Pluckhahn could not have been more pleased with the turn out.
“The community’s response to Friday’s event was just fantastic,” Marcus said.
“The venue was also really accommodating, which made for an awesome night.”
The money raised at the fund-raiser will go towards keeping the ever-popular Peregian and Cooroy Originals concerts continuing throughout the year.
Marcus wished to thank everyone’s continued support of East Coast Originals as without this, the concerts would no longer be able to go ahead.
“Peregian Originals, especially, is a gigantic stepping stone for up-and-coming local musicians as it gives them the chance to perform on a regular basis, to perform to a really well educated music audience,” Marcus said.
