Heritage Park Bushland Care Volunteers are holding a Community Education day as part of their commitment to a State Government Community Sustainability Action grant received by the group.
The event will be held in conjunction with Noosa Integrated Catchment Association who auspice grants and other Bushland Care Groups.
The event will be held in Apex Park along Gympie Terrace on Monday 7 May, from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm.
At 10.00 – 11.00 am, Joel Fostin will hold a workshop on the decline of Pandanus and the effects on
them of the Leaf-hopper bug. There will be plenty more to learn from Dr. Javier Leon, senior lecturer in geography at USC and NICA as well as Bushland Care groups who can teach you how to attract wildlife to your garden, weed identification and much more.
There will also be tea and coffee available and a sausage sizzle.
