Reproduction of The Times, London newspaper dated June 5th 1940 depicts the incredible evacuation by the Allies during WW11 at Dunkirk, France from the invading Germans. Alfred Harcourt Le Petit kept a copy as a reminder of his own escape from the beaches of Dunkirk with many others. He describes in his memoirs the incredible human ant trail that wove it''s way to the beaches whilst being stalked and strafed by the merciless Luftwaffe. It was a scene of horrific carnage and stench that somehow remains forever stained upon your being, he said.
