Pop-up shop for Zonta

By JOLENE OGLE

THE Zonta club of Noosa will launch their pop-up shop at the Noosa Junction on 7 October to help raise funds for their organisation.
The second-hand store will be called Zeconda and will run until 18 October, offering pre-loved designer clothing as well as accessories such as leather belts, handbags, shoes, scarves and costume jewellery.
Zonta Noosa president Patricia Cussens said the group hoped to raise much-needed funds to support various Zonta projects and provide assistance to victims of domestic violence.
“The quality of the stock will be very high and the prices very reasonable so come along and grab yourself a bargain while helping to support Zonta and its work,” she said.
Zonta Noosa member Gwenn Davidson said the pop up shop is a great way to help clean out the closet or restock with new pieces.
“Instead of leaving your unworn clothes in the wardrobe, we thought this was a great way to help clear them out while helping raise funds to save lives,” she said.
Zonta Noosa projects also include providing breast cushions for women who undergo mastectomies, birthing kits to aid women in the developing world, and care packs for women and their children in crisis centres.
The shop will be located at 34 Lanyana Way, Noosa Junction (opposite Coles) and will be open from 7 October to 18 October, from 9.30am to 4.30am daily.
