Night of casino fun

DON your best James Bond suit or Gatsby-inspired dress and head along to Wallace House for a night of fun and nostalgia as the Noosa Open Studios host a casino night fund-raiser.
The pop up casino will be held at the much-loved Wallace House which is rumoured to have been an illegal gambling spot in the 1970s.
The Noosa Open Studios gang are reinventing some of that past with a fun, and legal, casino night to raise funds for an art event to be held in August.
Noosa Open Studios chair Chris Pritchard said everyone was welcome to come along to the casino night, which was set to be the first to two fund-raising events hosted by the studio.
“This casino night is the first of two fund-raising events being held to assist in raising monies to stage our big three-day event in August and the focus for both of them is having fun at a minimal cost,” Chris said.
“It’s a bit of a trip to Brisbane if you want to try your hand on the gaming tables. Why not stay and play local and support your local artists while at the same time having lots of fun and laughter.”
The Noosa Open Studios Casino Night will be dealing up food, fun and ‘funny money’ on Saturday 16 April from 7pm for just $25 per person. To book your tickets, phone Trish Bradford on 0411 244 304 or emailtrishincastaways@gmail.com.
