Wide variety of music at festival

By Hollie Harris

You may not have heard of them or you may be a fan, either way, you will enjoy the sounds of our very own community band, The Noosa District Concert Band playing at Cooroy Body Art Festival this year.
Chances are, you’ve heard this talented group of musicians play many times as they play a wide variety of music including popular, classical and jazz at a variety of events.
If you play a musical instrument and have always wanted to join a band, now is your chance. They are also looking for promising young students to benefit from their scholarship program. Opportunities include free loan of an instrument, regular practice and performances, mentoring from experienced players and paid professional lessons. Phone Paul Ritchie on 0412 737 147 or Pamela Wright on 0438 739 844 for details.
Sit and relax as the band does what they do best at Body Art Festival Sunday from 2pm.
